What Is Slag?
Slag, also called dross, is molten metal that forms on parts created with thermal cutting processes, such as oxy-fuel, flame and plasma cutting. Slag can reduce the look and quality of a welded component, so manufacturers need to use dross removal processes to improve the final product. However, slag removal is often a time-consuming and difficult process.

Hammerhead and Slag Removal
Our Hammerhead technology is purpose-built for heavy slag removal. The hammers are a series of steel pins arranged in staggering rows in vulcanized rubber. This arrangement ensures all machined parts are hit by at least one steel pin and helps to remove heavy burrs in addition to slag.
This solution hammers parts with counterclockwise movement up to 22 m p/secs/min to deliver optimal deslagging.
